ShieldTM double eccentric butterfly valves disc design and sealing through elastomer seals fixed to the disc for optimum tightness and allowing seal maintenance without disassembling the valve. Its soft seal option provides excellent sealing capabilities in both directions which delivers excellent shut-off against applications.
Rugged fabricated construction, available in a wide range of sizes and special materials to match specific requirements and depending on the head under which the valve will operate. It may be equipped with by-pass for pressure balancing and a counterweight for emergency shutoff.
ShieldTM double eccentric butterfly valves (AWWA C504 butterfly valve) are compatible with the standard AWWA C504 fully. Robust design in all respects of body, shaft and disc with streamlined low head loss anti flutter contour, it is designed with tilted and fixated disc for extended service life and easy operation.
The disc seal is made of drinking water approved EPDM rubber featuring an excellent compression set and thus ability to regain its original shape. The epoxy coating and the corrosion protected shaft end zones ensure high durability.
